Recycling your HelloFresh Box
Our boxes are made from post-consumer recycled fibers and are 100% recyclable. Add all paper-based items to your blue box (after some fun fort-building of course!).
Our meal kit bags are recyclable and compostable, and the cardboard separator is 100% approved for curbside recycling.
We have been testing our 100% water ice packs in certain areas and are planning a nationwide rollout! We've innovated the new ice packs so they are full of water, nothing else — making it safer for your drain and the environment.
We've reduced our packaging by 45% since we launched in 2016. To keep certain ingredients fresh, we use food-safe packaging when needed, but we're constantly thinking of ways to reduce and innovate.
Luckily, keeping all your delicious ingredients safe en route to your doorstep isn't the only thing your HelloFresh box can do. It also doubles as an easy costume.
