Crispy baked chicken wings are smothered in delicious honey-garlic sauce then topped with toasted peanuts for juicy, tasty bites that are packed full of flavour.

Cooking Steps

Prep chicken wings

  • Before starting, preheat the oven to 450ºF.
  • Line a large baking sheet with foil, then brush with 2 tsp oil or cooking spray.
  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • Add chicken wings, baking powder and 1/4 tsp pepper to a large bowl. Season generously with salt, then toss to coat. 
  • Arrange chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake wings and toast nuts

  • Bake chicken wings the middle of the oven for 12-15 min, until chicken is cooked through.**
  • Remove wings from the oven and set oven to broil. 
  • Flip wings, then broil in the top of the oven for 2-3 min, until wings are crispy and golden.
  • Meanwhile, heat a medium non-stick over medium. When hot, add peanuts to the dry pan. Toast for 2-3 min, stirring often, until golden. (TIP: Keep your eye on them so they don't burn!)
    Transfer to a plate.
Make honey-garlic sauce

  • Peel, then mince or grate garlic. 
  • Thinly slice green onions. Keeping the white and green parts separate. 
  • Reheat the same pan (from step 2) over medium-low. When hot, add 1 tbsp oil, then garlic and green onion whites. Cook 30 sec - 1 min, stirring occasionally, until fragrant. Add soy sauce and honey-garlic sauce. Stir until combined and sauce comes to a simmer.
  • Continue to simmer for 2-3 min until sauce has thickened slightly.
Finish and serve

  • Remove chicken wings from oven, then transfer to a large bowl. Pour honey-garlic sauce over top, then toss until chicken is fully coated. 
  • Transfer chicken wings to a serving platter, then sprinkle peanuts and remaining green onions over top.
