Cooking Steps

Cook ramen and broccoli

  • Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
  • Add broccoli and ramen noodles to the boiling water. Cook uncovered until tender, 2-3 min. 
  • Drain noodles and broccoli, reserving 1/4 cup (1/2 cup) pasta/broccoli water. Return noodles and broccoli to the same pot, off heat.
Cook shrimp

  • Drain, rinse then pat shrimp dry with paper towels. 
  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. 
  • When hot, add 1/2 tbsp (1 tbsp) oil, then shrimp. Cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp just turn pink, 2-3 min.**
  • Season with salt and pepper. 
Cook sauce

  • Add plum sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce. Cook, stirring often, until shrimp are coated, 1-2 min. 
Finish and serve

  • Add shrimp, reserved pasta/broccoli water and sauce to the large pot with the ramen and broccoli. 
  • Season with salt and pepper, then toss to coat. 
  • Divide shrimp ramen noodles between bowls. 
  • Sprinkle crispy shallots over top.
