Instructions

1
  • Remove brie from packaging and place in a parchment-lined 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Dollop fig spread over top of brie.
  • Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 16-18 min, until brie softens and is slightly oozing.
  • Meanwhile, heat a dry, large non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • When the pan is hot, add walnuts.
  • Toast for 2-3 min, stirring often, until golden-brown. (TIP: Keep your eye on them so they don't burn!)
  • Transfer walnuts to a plate.
2
  • Strip thyme leaves off stems.
  • Cut ciabatta width-wise into 1/4-inch slices.
  • To a small microwave-safe bowl, add 1 tbsp butter. Melt in the microwave for 30 sec. Season with salt and pepper.
3
  • To an unlined baking sheet, add ciabatta slices.
  • Brush with melted butter.
  • Toast on the upper rack of the oven, for 3-5 min, until golden-brown and lightly toasted. (TIP: Keep your eye on the crostini so they don’t burn!)
4
  • Transfer fig baked brie to a shallow serving dish, then sprinkle with toasted walnuts and some thyme leaves.
  • Cut out a small wedge of brie to allow for serving.
  • Serve crostini alongside.
  • Enjoy!
